Retail/Merchandise : Retail Sales Associate
Merchandise Vendor - Legends Hospitality - Yankee Stadium (Bronx, NY)

Under the direction of the Vending Supervisor, is responsible for selling merchandise in the stands. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Primary responsibilities:

  • Reports for scheduled work on a timely basis and is in complete uniform, with a neat and clean personal appearance. Wears price buttons at all times when on the concourse.
  • Follows proper procedures for obtaining product from the merchandise warehouse.
  • Circulates among guests, calling out items for sale.
  • Hands or passes items to guest, receives payment and makes required change.
  • Figures and counts back the correct change to guests.
  • Checks out items to replenish stock and turns in money from sales.
  • Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean.

  • Properly cleans equipment and follows the portable closing instructions.
  • Reports all needed repairs to management.
  • Rotates to other sections as assigned.

Knowlwdge, Skills & Abilities:

No experience necessary. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. Must be pleasant, courteous and enjoy working with people. Must be willing to aggressively sell assigned items. Must be able to handle cash and inventory efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds. Constant standing, walking, lifting, reaching and climbing stairs.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred

Merchandise Sales Associates - Legends Hospitality - Yankee Stadium (Bronx, NY)

As directed by the location Supervisor or Store Manager, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 

Primary Responsibilities:

Stands & Stores

  • Cleaning and Organizing- Assist as directed by the Supervisor or Store Manager in ensuring the location is cleaned and organized

Stock

  • Assist as directed by the Supervisor or Store Manager in ensuring the location is fully stocked for all events

Setup 

  • Assist as directed by the Supervisor or Store Manager in ensuring the location is fully setup prior to the start of an event

Cash Handling

  • Location Bank- Pick up the location’s bank prior to an event and drop it off to the money room at the end of an event if required
  • Accuracy- Ensure bank amount is correct before leaving the bank room. If incorrect see bank room employees immediately to correct the problem

Sales

  • Accurately ring-in sales in a timely manner at the location on the Point of Sale terminal

Customer Service/Quality Control

  • Uphold yourself and others to the standards and policies required by Legends Hospitality
  • Be proactive when greeting guests and providing help to all customers
     

Qualifications:

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience preferred
  • Able to move fast and act on assigned duties
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work fluently in English
  • Must be flexible to work all Yankee Stadium events including late nights, weekends and holidays.

Retail/Merchandise : Warehouse Operations
Merchandise Warehouse Associates - Legends Hospitality - Yankee Stadium (Bronx, NY)

As directed by the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisors, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 

Primary Responsibilities:

Receiving

  • Assist in ensuring items and counts on Purchase Order match the items and counts on the corresponding packing slip

Distribution

  • Assist in collection of needed items from the warehouse or new receiving and delivers them to specified location. Record the item quantities to be double-checked by the location supervisor

Cleaning and Organization 

  • The warehouse is to stay and clean and organized at all times to ensure efficiency

Paperwork

  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out completely and properly. This includes but is not exclusive to receiving’s, transfers, sign-in and sign-out, distribution sheets, and inventory

Stores Drops

  • When dropping off stock to a location the stock needs to be neat and organized to ensure efficiency and ease of loading and unloading

Equipment

  • There are many different pieces of equipment used to move products and help store products. Ensure the use of safety and caution when around them and when using this equipment

Customer Service/Quality Control

The Venue
Legends will design, build and operate One World Observatory (“OWO”), an immersive one hour Guest experience at the top of the World Trade Center.  OWO will set a new standard in the Observatory experience.  It will include unique sets and permanent scenery, state of the art electronic show equipment, custom designed media, restaurants and bars, and all necessary back of house facilities (ticketing, dressing rooms, offices, kitchens, etc.).  OWO will provide an unparalleled Guest experience for over 3.5 million visitors a year. 

Role

 The Retail Supervisor is responsible for for managing retail associates, inventory, registers, and customer service in a high-end retail store at One World Observatory.  

Essential Functions
•    Directly managing Gallery Associates while having direct interactions with customers
•    Maintain and control inventory ensuring that we have sufficient supplies needed to maintain sales
•    Develop and enforce standards for retail associates and customer service.
•    Ensure all cash handling procedures are documented and enforced
•    Manage daily, weekly and month inventory
•    Provides customer service to guests by being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Gallery’s products
•    Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that associates can locate resources and product as needed
•    Assure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures
•    Manage close down procedures: all area of the Gallery are to be left clean, tidy and secure, ready for the next day
•    Ensure the Gallery ‘s equipment and furnishing are properly maintained and notify the Retail Manager of any damages, including points of sale
•    Provide guidance to guests at One World Observatory inclusive of retail options and general New York City attraction information.
•    Create pull-lists for restocking the Gallery
•    Ensure all opening and closing procedure are followed


Supportive Functions
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
•    Keep work area clean and organized

The Retail Store Manager will provide guests of Constellation Field with quality merchandise and excellent service by effectively managing all aspects of the merchandise operation, including, but not limited to, inventory control, receiving product, staffing, training, accounting procedures and the operation of the Team Store at Constellation Field.
Essential Job Functions:
• Manage the stores day to day operations
• Supervise assigned personnel, hire, terminate, discipline, evaluate performance and develop each employee to his/her potential
• Perform period end inventory
• Maintain proper inventory levels and receive shipments
• Develop warehousing plan to assure easy access and accountability of merchandise
• Record all sales transactions and online orders
• Update and manage the online store
• Ship out all online orders using our FedEx account
• Implement and maintain effective communication with the client and all employees
• Handle cash procedures before and during an event
• Keep accurate records of purchases, and items on order
• Work closely with the team on feedback and for special promotions/themes that are coming up
• Provide items for special occasion in a timely fashion; i.e. birthdays, team(player hats), and groups
• Manage in compliance with established Legends’ policies and procedures
• Organize and refresh the design of the store monthly
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time
• Implement and maintain effective communication with the client and all employees
Qualifications:
• Experience with merchandising and retail management in a high volume environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and/or training
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to interact with all levels of management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
• Customer service oriented
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be available to work extended hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
