Summary of Team Member Daily Duties:
• Create exciting, energetic, positive motivational environment for the fans
• Outstanding personality and work ethic

• Show expertise when selling product
• Sell multiple items in each transaction
• Excellent accuracy when using POS systems
• Demonstrate ownership in maintaining, re-stocking and cleaning daily sections

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Past experience working in retail or sales preferred.
• Must show expertise when selling product
• Respectful of a diverse team base and fan base
• Must be able to take constructive feedback and make necessary positive changes
• Honesty and integrity in all actions and language
• Must be willing to work extended hours on race days and during events
• Accuracy in opening and closing procedures

Retail/Merchandise : Retail Sales Associate
Summer Merchandise Internship- Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Legends Hospitality- Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Indianapolis, IN)

Summary of Team Member Daily Duties:

• Play a vital role in the preparation and execution of our events
• Supervise the sale of merchandise in a number of shops surrounding the track as a Zone Manager
• Participate in Event Gift Shop tear down process
• Experience the Warehouse, ecommerce Department, Retail Office and Brickyard Authentics retail stores
• Participating in the set up process
• Act as team leader stocking shops, inventorying merchandise and setting merchandise displays
• Work as a Zone Manager overseeing the operations of a number of Gift Shops
• Participate in the tear down process from Events

Requirements:

• Available to work internship from late April to late August
• Available to work seven days per week with long hours each day
• Business, Retail and Management majors are preferred but we will consider candidates of all majors
• Available to work in both indoor and outdoor environments

• Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & any other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present merchandise to increase sale with add on items.
• Must be able to describe merchandise features, benefits, and explain use
• Keep current on promotions & sales in store: and events at the speedway
• Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts.  Assist in inventory
• Continually increase knowledge of product, facility, and all events held at IMS
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Be willing to work extended hours on event days
• Must be able to work weekends & overtime as needed
• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in comparable company

·        Team Store Retail Associates 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times.  Implement Legends customer service program to ensure excellant customer service.
  • Reports for scheduled work in a timely manner and is in complete uniform, with a neat and clean personal appearance. 
  • Ensure all cash handling and inventory management procedures are in effect at all times, have working knowledge of POS. Uses Point of Sale equipment correctly and accurately. 
  • Maintains high standards of friendly guest service.
  • Shows flexibility by rotating to other service locations when necessary (team store, cashiers, kiosk, portables and customer service).
  • Has thorough knowledge of the home teams and the product.
  • Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean.
  • At closing, works with other store/stand personnel to properly clean and organize stock for next event.
  • Performs and completes other tasks as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be pleasant, courteous and enjoy working with people.
  • Must be able to handle cash and inventory efficiently.
  • Must be able to work with others as a team. 
  • Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations.
  • Must be able to smile, maintain positive body language, and consistently provide positive guest service.
  • Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, and decisions without immediate supervision using best judgment.  
  • Must be able to accept and carry out responsibility for directions.
  • Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. 
  • Should have an appreciation for retail and customer service experience.
  • General knowledge of the Phoenix Suns and the game of basketball is a plus.
