Summary of Team Member Daily Duties:
• Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team & fan base
• Greet guests & ascertain their interest, so you may make sales recommendations
• Excellent accuracy when using POS systems
• Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & any other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present merchandise to increase sale with add on items
• Must be able to describe merchandise features, benefits, and explain use
• Keep current on promotions & sales in store: and events at the speedway
• Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts.  Assist in inventory
• Continually increase knowledge of product, facility, and all events held at IMS
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Must be able to read & implement plan-o-grams
• Assist the Gift Shop set-up team with the merchandising of event gift shops including plan-o-grams, merchandise placement, inventory control, cleaning of shops & fixtures
• Merchandising skills a plus

Job Requirements:

• Honesty and integrity in all actions and language

• Be willing to work extended hours on event days
• Must be able to work weekends & overtime as needed
• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in comparable company

• 35-40+ hours weekly
• Flexibility in Duties & responsibilities as needed in other areas

Retail Supervisor - Legends - One World Observatory (New York, NY)

The Venue: Legends designed, built and operates One World Observatory (“OWO”), an immersive one hour Guest experience at the top of the World Trade Center.  OWO has set a new standard in the Observatory experience.  It includes unique sets and permanent scenery, state of the art electronic show equipment, custom designed media, restaurants and bars, and all necessary back of house facilities (ticketing, dressing rooms, offices, kitchens, etc.).  OWO will provide an unparalleled Guest experience for over 3.5 million visitors a year.

 

The Role: The Gallery Supervisor will be responsible for managing retail associates, inventory, registers, and customer service in a high-end retail store at One World Observatory.

 

Essential Functions

·         Directly managing Gallery Associates while having direct interactions with customers

·         Maintain and control inventory ensuring that we have sufficient supplies needed to maintain sales

·         Develop and enforce standards for retail associates and customer service

·         Ensure all cash handling procedures are documented and enforced

·         Manage daily, weekly and month inventory

·         Provides customer service to guests by being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Gallery’s products

·         Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that associates can locate resources and product as needed

·         Assure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures

·         Manage close down procedures: all area of the Gallery are to be left clean, tidy and secure, ready for the next day

·         Ensure the Gallery ‘s equipment and furnishing are properly maintained and notify the Retail Manager of any damages, including points of sale

·         Provide guidance to guests at One World Observatory inclusive of retail options and general New York City attraction information

·         Create pull-lists for restocking the Gallery

·         Ensure all opening and closing procedure are followed

Supportive Functions

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

·         Keep work area clean and organized

·         Organize Storage Areas

·         Attend mandatory meetings

·         Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards

·         Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager

The Role: The Retail Associate is responsible for providing quick and efficient service to customers in a variety of duties relating to a high end store service experience including recording transactions and collecting payment with a point of sale system, stocking fixtures and providing a Legendary experience.

·         Properly records all transactions via the point of sale system and informs guests of amount owed

·         Collects the proper money for transaction; processes credit card or collects cash and determines correct change for guests

·         Accounts for all transactions; maintains accurate cash count and balance banks at end of shift

·         Provides customer service to guests by being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the products available for purchase

·         Suggest additional items to customers, as appropriate

·         Ensure that all fixtures are clean, stocked and tidy to deliver a full service

·         Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed

·         Ensure that the correct close down procedure is followed: all areas of the store are to be left clean, tidy and secure, ready for the next day’s service
