Retail Supervisor - Legends - Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders (Moosic, PA)

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION:
This position provides guests with quality merchandise and excellent service by effectively supervising the team store, including, but not limited to, overseeing the hourly staff, displaying product, and assisting customers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Maintain proper inventory levels by informing Office Manager when product is low.
•    Perform period end inventory as requested.
•    Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating customer concerns.
•    Supervise assigned personnel.
•    Maintain preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the Company.
•    Assist in the maintenance of a security function. 
•    Implement and maintain effective communication with all employees.
•    Ensure all cash handling procedures are in effect at all times.
•    Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time. 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Required:
•    At least 3 years experience with retail sales.
•    Ability to promote and participate in a team environment. 
•    Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate the same with others. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds.  Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.

o    Paperwork- Ensure all paperwork is filled out completely and properly. This includes but is not exclusive to receiving’s, transfers, sign-in and sign-out, distribution sheets, and inventory.
o    Stores:
•    Deliveries- When dropping off stock to a location the stock needs to be neat and organized to ensure efficiency and ease of loading and unloading.
•    Equipment/Safety:
•    There are many different pieces of equipment used to move products and help store products. Ensure the use of safety and caution when around them and when using this equipment.
•    Follow all Legends safety rules and regulations.
•    Customer Service/Quality Control:

Qualifications:

The Merchandise Sales Associate will report directly to the store manager and/or supervisor on duty while working closely with the other sales associates to deliver legendary customer service surrounding all Browns merchandise events.  In addition it will be necessary to be very knowledgeable about the stadium and services in order to assist any and all guests. The Venue
Legends will design, build and operate One World Observatory (“OWO”), an immersive one hour Guest experience at the top of the World Trade Center.  OWO will set a new standard in the Observatory experience.  It will include unique sets and permanent scenery, state of the art electronic show equipment, custom designed media, restaurants and bars, and all necessary back of house facilities (ticketing, dressing rooms, offices, kitchens, etc.).  OWO will provide an unparalleled Guest experience for over 3.5 million visitors a year. 

Role

 The Retail Associate is responsible for providing quick and efficient service to customers in a variety of duties relating to a high end store service experience including recording transactions and collecting payment with a point of sale system, stocking fixtures and providing a Legendary experience.

Essential Functions
•    Properly records all transactions via the point of sale system and informs guests of amount owed
•    Collects the proper money for transaction; processes credit card or collects cash and determines correct change for guests
•    Accounts for all transactions; maintains accurate cash count and balance banks at end of shift
•    Provides customer service to guests by being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the products available for purchase
•    Suggest additional items to customers, as appropriate
•    Ensure that all fixtures are clean, stocked and tidy to deliver a full service
•    Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed
•    Ensure that the correct close down procedure is followed: all areas of the store are to be left clean, tidy and secure, ready for the next day’s service
•    Assist with daily, weekly and month inventory as needed
•    Provide guidance to guests at One World Observatory inclusive of retail options and general New York City attraction information.

Supportive Functions
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
•    Keep work area clean and organized

• Keep accurate records of purchases, and items on order
• Work closely with the team on feedback and for special promotions/themes that are coming up
• Provide items for special occasion in a timely fashion; i.e. birthdays, team(player hats), and groups
• Manage in compliance with established Legends’ policies and procedures
• Organize and refresh the design of the store monthly
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time
• Implement and maintain effective communication with the client and all employees
Qualifications:
• Experience with merchandising and retail management in a high volume environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and/or training
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to interact with all levels of management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
• Customer service oriented
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be available to work extended hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Must be able to work in a team environm
